Every website needs an About page. Ours comes with a sense of humor, a little history, and—yes—a Wright at the helm.
Our President, and Lead Technologist, is Orville Wright, who has been working with computers since he was a teen. Of course, we understand that you probably didn’t even finish the sentence without stopping to wonder if he is related to the airplane inventors, Orville and Wilbur Wright. The short answer is NO. The long answer is probably. We’re still checking the genealogy.
Now onto the business at hand. Orville was hooked the moment he saw his first commercial for a Tandy TRS-80 computer (that was Radio Shack, by the way). He quickly learned how to program that beast and desired to slay an even bigger beast. And so he did. He went on to learn mainframe programming using the now-defunct language of COBOL. He quickly became the resident expert in all things and excelled in his computer experience and training. At every job, he became the office guru, the go-to-guy if you will, and learned about copiers, phones, faxes, word processors, and the like, but always moving forward with the
evolving computers.
In June, 1993, he decided to venture out on his own and started Wright Consulting. With his unchecked ego in hand, he became the first computer consultant in Arizona, who, ironically, did not own a computer. He quickly fixed that minor problem!
